Aside from offering the full range of new turbochargers and a wide assortment of professionally remanufactured ones, Motair has gained a high reputation as a solution provider when it comes to fulfil special requirements. These can arise from tuning companies that want to increase the performance of an engine, from racing teams or from the energy supply sector. Whenever a combustion engine is used to generate electricity the turbocharger needs to be adjusted. Customizing a turbo means that we combine a different turbine housing with a certain compressor housing and vice versa. We can change wastegate actuators in order to change the characteristic of the turbo. What we cannot do is to design a completely new turbo.

Our competence is to customize the turbocharger itself according to the specifications given by our customer. We cannot develop software to control the engine or design other components besides the turbocharger. Together with our customer we can optimize the characteristic of the turbocharger..

We cannot issue or provide the new general operating licence. However we can assist our customer in applying for a new operating licence. Due to our over 30 years of experience we are able to give good advice, evaluate the feasibility of a charging concept and estimate project durations and costs.

For every custom built turbo the same quality standards apply that we fulfil for our remanufactured products. Every single step of the assembly is documented.
