| 1971 | Foundation of MOTAIR FLUGGERÄTE GMBH in Cologne by engineer Mr. Hans Otto Hess in order to develop a turbocharged 1.6 l combustion engine for light aircrafts |
| 1970s | Increasing focus on remanufacturing turbochargers for automotive applications |
| 1980s | Motair becomes market leader for reman turbochargers in Germany |
| 1981 | Change of company’s name into MOTAIR TURBOLADER GMBH |
| 1990s | Aside from the successful remanufacturing business, selling new turbos becomes more and more important |
| 1996 | Motair becomes one of the first turbo remanufacturers to be certified according to ISO 9001 standard |
| 2006 | Mr. Andreas Solibieda, an engineer and former Senior Manager for Renault-Nissan and Mercedes-Benz joins the Motair management team |
| 2007 | Motair decides to become a data supplier for TecDoc Garrett grants Motair with the Sales Performance Award 2007 and names Motair the Distributor of the year 2007 |
| 2008 | Motair moves to a new site in Cologne Ehrenfeld with a modern production plant and large warehouse capacity Mr. Solibieda is appointed Managing Director next to Mr. Hans Otto Hess Foundation of MOTAIR OTOMOTIV A.Ş. in Istanbul, Turkey |
